anyone know what scrap aluminum is selling for?

i got a bunch around the yard i need to haul off tomorrow.

a good amount.. Guy took about 4 trashbags worth of wire and cans I got a 100 bucks or more (not sure)

I got 61 cents per lb. about 2 weeks ago. Clean aluminum.

i got about 200 - 250 lbs of aluminum already cleaned and all. was just wondering if it was worth the 1 1/2 hour ride to take it up there.

.88/lb at Morris in Kings Mt. last week. Well over that for cast. Took a load of wheels there. Was pretty nice little chunk of change.

If you can fine a recycler that has a forge on premises, it's my understanding you'll get more $$/Lb.

some scrap yard on cheek road does it too.. not sure the name...

theres one off cheek road too. can't remember the name but they were the premium $ for copper a year ago. I know thats unhelpful haha

i went today and took some rims and other scrap aluminun. they only gave me 45 cents per pound of clean aluminum. and the rims where like 65 cents per pound. i was dissapointed i only got 92 dollars. i had already took my time and removed all metal.

in wilm its going for .60 a lb,.65 if its over 150 lbs
