Found this add for a CJ for 4k with 7.17 gears and a 6 cyl . All I have to say is look at the front suspension

I seem that thing a few months ago on CL. He's actually came down on the price.

It looks like the steering would slam into the frame.
 
Looks like adjustable wheelbase to me. Whats the problem? :lol:

I am no suspension expert but from the look of it,it has virtually no up travel because the slide is almost maxed out on the up slide but has the whole slider for the droop so maybe the steering will not contact the frame.

Good thought process, but look at the springs. They are flat. The spring eye won't travel backwards any farther. If there was arch in the springs, then yes, you would be correct.

I think the only downfall to these is that you have to keep the slider greased and it's pretty well exposed to the elements and dirt.
 
Tie rod won't hit. The u bolt on the springs hits first.
 
Yup the front driveshaft. That leaf pack needs a few more leafs added to it, they would be way to soft.
 
What are fiar arms? Anybody else notice that?
