Amazon prime

If you're talking about the people who keep sending me boxes and draining my bank account, Yes I have seen most of the 'Off Road' stuff.. just ask my wife.

If there's a video section on this, I fear it will still end with more boxes and less money.

Yes I have. That prompted my deflator question. Had no clue all this was out there. I’ve only been in this world for a couple years. I have a lot of gadgets to catch up on.

armor all ain’t one of em. :D

Yeah just last week I noticed I had a tag light out on my truck. The broken bulb holder was $12, or replace them both with new LED for $9.99. Then I had some running lights out. Now just a few days later every light I’m my truck is LED. It was all so affordable, no tax and no shipping, here in 2 days. It just got out of hand. Amazon is dangerous!

Don't you need a switch pod for your lights?

I ordered a Mahle 54249 head gasket for my stroker from Amazon once. They sent me a USED head gasket. I promptly returned it and left a review stating they sent me a used gasket. They deleted my review stating the reason it went against their standards. I did at least get my money back but I'll never recover the wasted time.

I've said it before on here; I try not to buy anything on Amazon that I can find for anywhere close to the same price somewhere else. A lot of places have better prices than Amazon anyway, and some of those places have better prices on their own websites than that same company will have if they are also a 3rd party seller on Amazon. You can get better prices and better selection almost any place other than Amazon if you look a little bit.
Support the independent specialty businesses, else Amazon will consume their sales and put them out of business.

Buy all the shitty commodity LED bulbs from China that you want on Amazon, but buy the real car parts from someone else who will give you actual service or answer questions.

I have had really good luck with calling customer support. Amazon has made it right almost every time I have called them about something.

I do try to support local and independent businesses if prices are close. I usually start my search on Amazon for a couple of reasons:
1. It provides a baseline price for comparison shopping
2. It has robust user reviews on products
3. The search engine does a good job of finding products when I type in 'Jeep dohicky'
4. It shows related items and leads me to comparing name brand vs. generic products (off road lights, etc)
5. I can maintain a comprehensive wishlist of crap I am thinking about buying

About half the time I do end up buying stuff at the local AutoZone, off-road shop website, or finding a better price for a generic item on eBay.

Where on earth did you actually find a phone to call amazon? I have been looking for several years for a number to call and cause them out.

On the amazon app on my phone all you have to do is under the menu tab click customer support on the bottom on the list, then on the bottom of that page there is an option that's says "contact us" then click the call button. Not too bad and every time I have had to call them I actually get an American on the other line.

My Amazon prime story -

Wife signed up, forgot password, signed up again under phone number instead of email.

I remove her email from my account. You can't add another account (except removed for 6 months)... Ok.

Reset wife's account with email address.

Try to rejoin her account to mine. Ineligible. What? Go through CS. They reset my end, could've added anyone to prime. Can't add her email back. They reset her account. Then it added back. But that shouldn't have been needed according to what's laid out in the terms of service. But the site wasn't set up to allow it, no option or anything - even though it was clearly allowable in the TOS.

I order stuff I can't get locally from them. Small engine carbs & kits, electric gauges(vs tube/sense tube) kits (oil/temp), pet flea treatments, flashlights, brake line (on NiCopp. $20 for 25 ft vs $50), radiator for cheap (no or little warranty though vs lifetime, which supports my saying you're paying for convenience & warranty & actual people to deal with). I'd prefer to get local but sometimes either the money or the product dictates the source.
