AMC 360 tbi swap

dave we used the transdapt adapter. Its a centered mount for a square bore 4brrl intake. Seems to work just fine.

No data logging yet, hopefully the chip from aaron will get it close enough, if not i guess i will be making a aldl cable.

Do you & your bud a favor and build the cable anyway!
Somewhere in the tune shuffle, mine ran "really good". Thankfully, I had the laptop connected and was able to see it was so lean it would've melted down inside of 30 minutes! An ALDL cable is <$4 at RadioShack is too cheap to risk the potential damage!

yeah i spoke with him this evening, and im gonna make a trip to the shack tommorow to build one. hopefully ill have some info by the weekend.

x2 on the cable i got my 360 running on tbi last week.
im on my first chip from hamilton and it runs great but datalogging shows it's on the lean side so another chip is in the mail.
caver dave thank's for the great thread on binder planet it helped me out a good bit.
back on track i bought my cable from hamilton just to help pay him back for the tech support he provides.

I used a chunk of zip cord (from a lamp) for the ALDL cable... with the ends tinned, they fit snuggly in the OE ALDL sockets

Glad to hear you're getting it dialed in! I figured you'd chime in based on what Chip told me.
Once you get it tuned, you'll giggle every time you drive it!

ok...we got the chip in from aaron and fired it up again tonight. It runs awesome!!!! Im still gonna do some data logging very soon. I will say that with about 3 or 4 different carbs this jeep has had none...and i repeat none have every had the throttle response that the tbi does. We drove it up the street tonight...and this particular rig is running rockwells, 401, t18 with 44 tsls and verrrrry heavy....from dead stop in 2nd gear blistered the tires and somehow kevin shifted that thing fast enough to catch 3rd. In the meantime my phone fell out of my pocket and got ran over...dammit!

Give me a holler if you need a hand, as I've recently began job searching after 11 years  and will have some free time this week... and likely several weeks after that! :D

damn...hate to hear that dave....hope you find a new one soon! I still havent made the cable yet but when i do ill let you know my findings.
