I have the rebuilt AMC 360 and the T18 trans. I am not sure how to go about ordering a clutch, flywheel, and whatever else I need to join the two together. I have a flywheel with 164 teeth??? Not sure if that's right or if it matters. Looking for some guidance. Thanks!

Follow up question. How do I know what kind of trans is in my Jeep? I was told it was a T18 but now I've been told the T18 is a 4 speed. Mine is a 3 speed. Now I am lost. Need help!!! Thanks!

Check out http://www.jeeptech.com/trans/

There is tons of information on this subject on the innerweb. What kind of rig is this in and is it original do you know? The T18 should have a 1301... or T18 on the casting but if you only have 3 forward gears it's not the T18 obviously. If late 70's it's likely the T150, if early 70's it would likely be the T15. Read up on those for their specific casting identifications and you will easily pin down what you have. If it's stuff that has been adapted together, you can go to novak or advance adapters and read all day long too. Not sure about your flywheel question, if you need a new flywheel for some reason you have to get specifically one for the AMC360 (as opposed to 304 or 401 etc).

Pretty sure I used the same clutch on the t150 And the t18 in my jeep. If you plan on doing any decent wheeling then I would def consider swapping the trans for the t18. If its just for top down cruising and occasional mud splash then rock on with what you have.
