amount of gear oil in 14bff

i took off my cover to plate it and change the gear oil, my question now it how much lube does it take? i made a fill plug in the cover and put in 2 liters of lube and im still not up to the hole (the hole is just below the axle centerline). is that enough or should i add more? is it possible to overfill it? maybe this should be in newb tech.... :lol:
 
IIRC, it takes 4 liters. The fill plug on a 14 bolt isnt on the cover like most, its on the right hand side of the pinion snout, its a 3/8 plug.
 
okay, i thought that was some sort of pinion adjustment. ill just fill it till it oozes out that hole.
