What is the best way to mate an AN radiator hose to an engine with a standard hose barb outlet? I have an aftermarket radiator with AN connections on it I would like to use.

I'll need to research to be sure. I believe the AN is -16 and the engine is a standard Jeep 4.0.

A pretty common thing to do in the race world is to cut off the barb fitting and weld on an AN fitting. There are aftermarket AN fittings made specifically for welding to things like that and radiator tanks, etc. A lot of engines you can just buy an AN fitting coolant neck but I'd be surprised if that engine was one of them.

This is for a Honda (I just image-searched Google) but the concept is the same. I think they're actually -16 AN, according to the forum thread where the image was linked.

Probably easier to buy a spare hose from autozone and keep it under the seat.
