So maybe it's just because his birthplace is in my backyard or I spent some of the best years of my life in his resting place, Andrew Jackson has always been my favorite president. I did several reports on him when I was younger. It always surprised me that his name didn't come up in the debate about who was the greatest president. And now the ONLY president to ever pay off the national debt will be replaced on the $20 for Harriet Tubman. I guess a man whose political career was essentially built on the notion of hating banks and hating debt poses a threat to the American way of life.

-Rant over

I think it's complete BS he's being replaced. If the gov would like to reckonize her in someway I have no problem with that but why replace Jackson? Put her hateful mean looking picture(never seen a photo where she didn't look mad) on an ebt card and her facial expression will mimic mine and most other tax payers when I see people using the card for groceries and then buying beer, cigs, and lotto tickets with a bigger knot of cash than I usually carry.

Well... They naned Ft Jackson after him.

I tend to agree. Jackson was a badass. I understand wanting to honor Tubman, I'm cool w/ that, but don't ditch Jackson.
Maybe ditch McKinney on the $500, he's on the dollar coin anyway.

This is the typical agenda pushing BS that is destroying the country and distracting the masses. To me, the bigger question is why do we need anyone's picture on it?

I'm a fan of a lot of Jacksonian principles, but I saw a comment I liked: "Replace the founder of the Democratic party with a gun-toting Republican woman? I'm good with that."

Problem is back then the Democratic party was veeeery different. Actually worth putting their founder on a bill.

So here's a question:
Which is more of an "honor" - if yo ueven think it is:
Being put on a fairly commonly used bill, like the $20, or on something rare, like the $2, or the $1000?

Hell, you want to honor Tubman?
Put her on that infamous trillion dollar coin.
I don't have a tasty looking butt but, a trillion dollar coin sounds far fetched. Visa black card instead.
