Gravel, culvert, grading the whole nine.
I finally have the misses and everybody on board to build a shop. I need a road driveway ECT. I'm fair with a tractor but I don't want to mess this up or spend weeks getting it done. I need names, qoutes, and contract asap. When the money gets square in a day or two I got 4 to 6 before finish grading commences.
Getting the pad area on grade is open for his also.

40 by 40. Guessing about 100 yards on the drive.
Contractor requires road to established enough for concrete trucks and red iron delivery. I was just wanting to do that as a finish job, but he says it'll hold up construction and cost me more.

LOCATION MOCKSVILLE AREA. Smack between exit 162 and 168 on Hwy 64. Easy access. Within earshot of Lake Myers jukebox on the weekend, lol.

What type of soil do you have there?

If it's dry and passable, gravel truck (20 ton load) can chain the gate and spread it on the way in. Not much tractor work and moving needed. 20 tons ($275-300 around here) of ABC will get you about 10'x200' at 2".

Soft or wet ground, you may want to use ballast (1"-3") as a sub-base first...ABC will just disappear into the dirt/muck. Come back to finish off later with a couple inches of ABC.

Dirt is pretty good. But it's been a hay field all its life. Not sure how well it's going to pack. Also want good drainage. Fairly flat with a few swells in it.

Do you have your DOT driveway permit yet?

I can do all of it except permit as that is owner procured. But I'll need some sort of sketch and written description and pictures and I can give you some pricing.

Licensed and insured NC general contractor. :)

Negative on the permit. I'm naive on the process. I'd be happy to get you some pics this weekend. I also got a couple other folks to get me some numbers from too.

Hay fields & pastures, are not generally compacted. Even for general driveway, you'll need to cut the topsoil off. Probably 4" minimum, or your rock will just keep sinking over time. Depending on soil & compaction, you may have to start with ballast, then top with ABC.

Send me info and what you need and I'll get you pricing as needed.

Hey man got busy and no pics. I did get one qoute with another coming. Both are local and both spoke of sending me heavy equipment repair work. A reason I'm pouring a thick pad and putting in 14 by 14 doors. If I can keep it local and mutually beneficial this will be my route.
If it goes sour your next in line, thanks.
