It doesn't look like there is a good way to fit the factory airbox with the Bluetorch Fabworks DIY tube fenders I'm building for my TJ. What have you guys done for the air filter with your tube fenders?
By the way, mine is a 2000 TJ with 4.0 and air conditioning.

Something like this or the homebrew cowl intake is what I'll probably end up doing to mine. With the open element filter under the hood I'd use a prefilter like the one pictured to help with dust. The cowl intake uses an astro van box I think. Plenty of stuff on the web about that one.

Yeah I basically had the same issue with mine. My intake looks like the first picture Joe J. posted and I have a few other friends that have done the same. Just chop the intake tube at the flex and then add a cone overtop from the local parts store. Eventually I plan to add a snorkel through the firewall and cowl but this works fine for now. I've been driving for over a year with this setup with no issues (on or off the trail) and the filters are less than $30 so easy on the wallet to replace.

Thanks guys, right now my airbox is just redneck-rigged to the strut that goes from the firewall to the grill with 550 paracord. I'll go find a cone from the parts store.
