Wife and I came across a box with a lot of jewelry in it. not any gold or silver that I can see, maybe some silver, but a girl at my work said a lot of it was really old stuff and I should have it checked out. Anyone know of any Antique places in the triad that can appraise the stuff? and be honest with me and not try and rip me off? probably about 100-150 pieces of Jewelry in the box.

I've been dealing in antiques off and on for 15 years, and I don't have anyone to recommend to you. I suggest you take the jewelry to Hayes Jewlers in Lexington. They have appraised a few items for me in the past and offer cash if their interested in purchasing them from you. Very nice folks who work there.

Is there a price they charge to appraise it?
will they deal with mainly costume jewelry?
I doubt I have anything worth a lot, but even if I could get $100 for everything, I'd be happy.

No they have never charged me. The last stuff I took in there was random silver trays and dishes I had come across. They bought to ones of value, pretty much told me the others were worthless, I threw them in the scrap metal bin when I got home.
