I know my DD is a dogbed, it's full of dog hair and the seatback upholstry is stained w bigdog slobber from hauling them to the vet. Tuesday mornin I parked my truck @ work and the front bumper touched the dirt in the parkinglot island and apparently an anthill. 10 hours later I opened the door to find tiny ants everwhere! thousands at least, having a big ant party after finding some food scraps in crumpled up fastfood bags on the floor and some tea leftover in the cupholder, the floor and seats were covered in ants running around in a fast frenzy. I thought they were fireants and being alergic to them it was 1/2 hour later after brushing most of them out w a glove on, I drove home w the rest of them crawling everywhere. I cleaned out the dogbed that evening and shopvaced everything I could w/o removeing the seats..................there are still hundreds in it every morning and i'm thinking they must have moved in, queen and all. They seem to be coming in from the driver door @ the front fender and I just put some poison in the cab for them to eat. They are apparently not fireants or I would have been stung by now. I guess I should clean the ol dogbed more often :eek:ops:

My current yj I just got I removed the roll bar to find just that, an ant hill lol. Thousands of them I used some home bug spray n next morning there were thousands of dead ants.

I've got the same deal in my tow rig right now. I only drive it a few times a month and it pretty much stays outside parked under trees. It's infested with the little black ants. I think I may just go get a bug bomb and set it off in there.

Ants are rampant w all the rain we have had

I friend told me to skatter grits on a flower bed that had them (w a little one I didn't want poison around).

A few days later.... No ants.

Apparently they eat them, grits swell, and ant dies.
