Any Air Conditioning Guys Around Charlotte?

I think I am out of Freon and need a recharge. Upstairs unit was blowing cold all weekend, then Sunday it was blowing like the vent option on an Auto (blowing air, but it was not cool). Downstairs was 74 degrees, upstairs was 82 degrees- it was 74 upstairs Fri and Sat.

I had it filled 2 years ago (it was low then) and the unit is roughly 11 years old.

I'm in the Mountain Island area on Brookshire/16 (North Charlotte), anyone close by or know a guy who knows a guy? I was looking here before hitting up Yellow Pages.
 
May not be freon. A bad compressor cap could have the same symptoms in a split unit.
actually Id check that first, they are $20 and you can swap them yourself
 
check the filter

check the coil to see if its frozen up.


And as always, the AC always quits working on a weekend when its them most inconvenient! :lol: Good luck
