I have a GE profile arctica that has stopped making ice. All this started when the water pressure was low due to an old filter in the fridge. We have a new filter and the pressure is back to normal, but no ice.
We have put it into test mode (turn off for 25 sec, and then turn on and flip the flipper three times), and it seems there is no water coming out. We suspected the tube had some frozen water blocking the flow. Last night we used a hair drier to thaw it out, and it made ice once. We tried the same thing this morning, and now the ON light on the ice maker is blinking. I have read that the blinking light means there is a fault in the ice maker, and it needs to be replaced. Is there anything else that we can test before we drop $100 on a new ice maker?
