I just put an offer on a house and I'd like to have a inspector that wouldn't mind me looking over the house as a tag along. The made a mistake trusting an inspector last time I bought a house. If I'd had known it was stapled together, I would have skipped it.

After closing, I'll be looking for a contractor to build a big fat detached garage. If you have any tips about garage costs and ideas, please feel free to share.

If you are a contractor, you can pm me if you want.

I would go with one of those prefab metal building. i am trying to think of contractors in your area that could help but all I can come up with is large track home builders and they would not want to take up a small job.

I work with 12 building inspectors in my department, unfornately, none will want to do any private home inspection after one got fired for doing that on County time. Good luck with it.

He will do you right. Tell him Greg told you to call.

Inspectors are insured or bonded and you pay them to find problems in specific areas. If they miss it they are responsible! I had this on my last house and the inspector replaced some things for me!

Anyway, good luck with the house, hope you get it inspected good! I'm working on my inspector license but have to schedule the test later than sooner or I'd help ya out.

I have a home inspectors license in Tn. The process of getting one in NC is a little different. You should easily be able to google home inspector and find one in your area.
