Since I changed majors, chem is a new requirement for me..

I took it in high school, found it super easy. College chem is alot tougher then the high school garbage, yet my professor still teaches it like its a high school class...go figure

Anyways, he assigns homework stuff every night. We have a book with all the solutions of the odd answers, but of course he only picks the evens to assign, so while I think Im getting the right answers, Ive got little way of knowing if I did without turning in the work...

If there is anyone here who did Chem...would you mind me asking you a few questions every once in a while?

There's a very good reason they provide the answers for odd numbered problems...
..it's so you can use them as examples.
just because they weren't assigned, there's nothing barring you from doing them for practice, eh?

So for example if you've been assigned # 6, 8, 10, and 12... try doing #s 7 and 9 first. They're pretty likely to be very similar problems to the even ones. Then check to see if you did them right...
Profs assign the non-answered ones so you won't just copy the answers... but the others are there for your benefit to learn by.

ratlabdave will probably offer his services too, but i doubt he liked chem much more than i did.

gee thanks.
And... yeah... I took chem is HS, then avoided it like the plague afterwards. Too objective, lol.
Just got it all 2nd hand doing bio, psychopharm, etc.

yeah ive been going over the odd's and checking the answers...and Im actually doing pretty well.

We havent really gotten past the whole conversion thing, which has really been hanging me up. Now that ive figured out the whole train track deal...Im not doing too bad.

Chem was only only class I made a 97 on the final exam, twice (but flunk the class do to me not liking the teacher, and visa versa)

I had 3 years of Chem in college....(thats 3 different classes 10?,20?,30? not 101 repeateed 3 times) and I ated every minute.

My advice is find the nerdy looking chick that doesnt look like she haas had a date in a while, ask her if she is going downtown Thursday night. Then buy her some drinks, take her home and rock her world....next sit next to her and practice peer study.

It gives you a built in slump buster, and a guarantee of a good grade.

AS ALWAYS YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY, but worked well for me.
