Did that white 92 have a big black steel bumper on the front with diamond plate on top?? and the rear bumper a piece of like 4" square tube with boxed plate ends on it?? I think that might be my old sploder!!!! had the same stickers and everything

I am on TRS (same name as here) and yes, both rigs are still rocking the TTB. Was trying to find a waggy d44 front and yj leafs for the white one, but never could have enough money when people hard parts available.

I got it from a guy off here in Concord that got it from a shop. I got it with no front bumper, roller tires, and a engine with burnt pistons, cracked heads, and blown head gaskets. Rear bumper is channel i believe or at least the tire carrier is made of.

i'm in the same boat. i just swapped in a D35 and 8.8, but i'd love to have a FW D44. hopefully i'll stumble onto one and have money at the same time. usually, i'll one but not the other lol

if you find one give me a shout, i'll help you toss it under there. staley isnt too far from raleigh IIRC

There was/still is I think a set of waggy 44's in the fs section for pretty cheap.

i got a 97 sport i would love to lift but dont know how to go about it

you have about 3 choices besides SASing it:

1)2 or 3 inch body lift
2)t-bar crank and a shackle in the back (cheapest way, you can run 31's or maybe 32's)
3)suspension lift (look to drop anywhere from 1000-1500 for that, just for the lift......probably at least a grand to get it installed by a shop)

you could also combine 1&2 and probably cram some 33's under it.....IFS blows when you wanna lift it, unless you're loaded

92' four door dana 44 up front ford 9" in the rear locked with lock right lockers with a set of yukon 5.13 gears. 78 ford spring buckets with skyjacker 6" spring in front 78 ford leafs with rough country add a leaf and custom shackels in rear sittin on 35" boggers. I also have a 94 sport with 7" lift sittin on 37" mud grapplers, welded diffs and been rolled twice i just play in the mud with that one.

i only go here and therangerstation.com, it's not specifically for explorers. it's for rangers, bronco 2's, explorers, sport tracs and mazdas. explorer forum is pretty good too, i'm not on there though

heres my brothers ranger, not an explorer but close enough. it did great until the dana35 in the front gave out going down the road the axle housing had a hole in it where the ring and pinion xploded and the wheel bearing locked up, the whole rotor, caliper spindal etc flew off the truck with the tire, in henderson nc and almost hit a 18 wheeler...really happened. tire jumped the cow farm fence and my scrowny brother liked to never get it back to the truck... 38" bogger=too big for factory ranger/explorer axles.

yeah, 35's are about as high as i'd ever go with the 35. i'm gonna run 32's or 33's on mine just to be safe. i'll go bigger when i SAS it

I used to be on TRS as BigRedB2 years and years ago though. I had several BIIs and decided to go fullsize for a while. Im wanting to pick a 4x4 ranger now to get back into RBV wheeling.
