A few dozen. How far do you feel like driving?

This is where my dad and I go on our trips to the North fork of the New River. I can't remember exactly where we put in at but there are a few nearby access points and we usually get out at this spot in the picture.

Do you have 2 cars or just 1? Landsford canal is beautiful and you can paddle up as far as you want. Most other places are going to require two vehicles around rock hill but there is some good spots.

We were just recently in Murrels Inlet in SC.
Don't know about the fishing but it was enjoyable.
If recommend someof the New River, and French Broad. I like some of Kerr Scott too.

Lake Mackintosh in Burlington has some good fishing and partially non motor. Find non motor lakes or small reservoirs. The bigger lakes are nice but after about 10am most days in boat season the action is at the public ramp.

This. It's pushing the 2hr drive limit but Stumpy pond /Great falls diversion is a great spot just south of here.
