Any Idea what's about to go down on I-40, west of Statesville?

I travel i-40 from the Catawba River to Statesville everyday.
I've been noticing a lot of prep for something here lately.
barrels, signs, trucks, materials. Signs on hwy 70 stating I-40 (East and West) Detour (the plastic covering is starting to fall off)

Anybody know what in the world they're about to do? Rebuild those crap bridges?

more importantly; When?

My quick googles came up with nothing

Probably replace that bridge over the river would be my guess. It’s past due for an upgrade.
Yea, there's about 4 of um (or more) that need it. 2, legit, should have been replaced 20yrs ago

Yes, but what year do they start & we know how "Projected" finish times are! Same with widening Hwy 150, Denver thru Mooresville, & Hwy 73, Hwy 16 to I-85. I might not be driving by the time any of these are done; If I'm still living! :driver:
I'm sure there's an estimate somewhere, and I'm sure it's wrong  I figure it will start in 2024 and they will shut down a lane, then it will get delayed for 2 years due to funding, then it will start again in 2027 and finish up around 2035, once Charlotte has grown to a population of 3 million.
