Long story short- I have a 4.5yr old Trane Gas Pack and the blower induction fan has rusted out. Part is under warranty but it is on national backorder and both Trane parts suppliers I contacted in Raleigh said none available and no estimated timeline for availability. I have supposedly located one in Louisiana but they will not sell it to a homeowner/consumer.

Part is BLW01370 or BLW1370

Hoping someone can either help me locate one, or order it for me from the supplier in Louisiana.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

have you looked on amazon or ebay? you can usually find part at one of them.

Man I swear I scoured eBay yesterday. Thanks Ron, I’ve asked the seller if I can pick it up this weekend. Side note as I have no issues with supply and demand but list price is $190 (although not available)

Is the inducer fan motor bad or is the fan housing rusted out? I mean, can it be fixed to work until they come available again? I assume you had a rollout switch trip and shut the unit off?

I just bought the eBay fan. I'll let it go for $450. How bad you want heat?

The fan blade is rusted out and missing about 30% of the blades, I’ve got it functioning currently but the way it’s vibrating I don’t feel confident it’ll last long. I’m heading to asheboro Sunday to pick the one up Ron shared… unless one of you really snakes me!!

If you were here with it yesterday at 3pm when I identified the problem I woulda paid it. Sub freezing temps for a week+snow+3month old baby= pay whatever it costs to get heat
I'm feeling generous so I sprung for next day shipping. Your cost is only $600 now, plus shipping and handling.

Update… as I typed my last reply I guess the vibrations tore it apart, only 2 blades remain and not enough air to trip the pressure sensor. Based on the picture it appears to have been spitting blades out for a little bit now.

I assume this only means one thing, Price has now gone up to $1000? Looks like my roadtrip to asheboro might have to be tomorrow if there’s not too much ice F83201F4-ACCC-4B2C-B9D2-94B7873B1836.jpeg

You should look into wiring an off delay timer into the inducer fan circuit to keep it venting the combustion gasses long enough to get rid of all the corrosive shit. Trane doesn't give it a long enough cycle so it just sits there with hot corrosive flue gas byproducts sitting on it.

more designed to fail methodology ?

Will look into this, I assume YouTube might have some info?

Picked up the new fan today and we are back in business as of 3:30 this afternoon. Speaking of design to fail…. The new part has a drain hole in the bottom of the fan housing (presumably to drain condensation causing the rust) however that drain hole has no provision for a tube/hose and as installed it will drain directly onto the igniter box. Makes you go huhh?!?

Guess I’m headed to the parts store to pick up a barb and some hose later this week
