Philip Franklin, he lives in lincolnton but works at the dragons den in granite falls....he has done all my brothers, id say he is the best around here, he wins all kinds of compititions with his work too

Yeah I think I might go talk to him next weekend or some night this week. I still have one more session on my half sleeve to do with my other artist. I just want to talk to him about my plans and see if he would interested in doing something. Have you had work done by either of them?
 
actually i havent got any work by them. i have known them both since they were little. jason better than gene. we used to skate together. i have friends that have lots of work from them. i have had all mine done by a guy up here in danville. harry aron (harry's tattoo shop) gene and jason both do great work from what i have seen. really artistic and great with colors. i wouldn't mind having either of them do one for me. :beer:

One of my buddies speaks highly of Jason, and has used Jason for all of his Tattoos. I have no tattoos and am in no hurry to get any, but when the time comes I had planned to go to Jason aswell.

This was done by Frank at Twisted Ink in Archdale. For me the artist is a big role in where I would get ink. When you get a big permanent drawing on your body your always going to remember who done it.
I spent some time with Frank and talked to several other artist in the area that didn't care to talk to me it seemed. They just weren't very friendly people that I wanted to chill with for hours while they stabbed me repeatedly. I ended up going back to frank and got this koi fish which is actually a cover up.
I spent 11 hours in the chair chatting with him and Frank is now a close personal friend. I stop by almost weekly just to kick it with Frank and see how he's doing.
He's done some great work, I will eventually be turning mine into a half sleeve which I'm sure will turn into a full sleeve at some point.

The pictures were just taken and the tattoo is about a year and a half old. I have a scar in it from a few months ago that needs to be fixed.
