anybidy rebuild injection pumps on here

What makes you think you need it rebuilt? What is it doing?

Call Turbo exshange in Concord, I'll bet they know somebody.

gets

gets in a hard pull and falls on its face hooked scan tool to it and put in drive and loaded it an it demanded 10 k fuel pressure and was push 6500 just put 8 injectors and cups orings all of it

what year/engine ? LB7, LLY, LBZ ?

LLY had issues with pressure relief valve being weak, blowing rail pressure out on hard accel or hard pulls. some times it was a challenge to get a fuel rail that actually had a good relief valve. ( under warranty it was a PITA )

and I've seen a few CP3 injection pumps on the LB7's grenade ( yet they still ran enough to drive into the shop, fuel pouring out of them ) so I'd be skeptical of rebuilding one.

I've been out of the Dmax game for awhile now, I hope they have most of the serious bugs worked out, as I do like the engine.

been my experiance that new injectors can be bad as well.

do you have the ability to check balance rates of the injectors while engine is running ( a Tech2 function that may or may not be n other scan tools )

the balance rates should be in the 6-8 range, anything higher or lower would be suspect. one injector over say 10 would be suspect of having internal fuel blow by, which could cause your issue of falling on its face when the pressure is ramped up. one over 12-13 and you'll probably have white smoke at idle or extended crank time ( or both )

1450 psi or lower at crank RPM on (good batteries) and it will not start. it should ramp up almost immediately when the engine starts spinning over on the starter.

Its cheaper to buy a pump than to try to find someone to build it. And your balance rates should be -5 to+5 to be within spec. A factory pump should hold 23,000 psi when commanded. Anything below 18,000 and the pump is weak. How many miles on the truck?
