I have a boat that needs to have all new upholstery, some of the wood behind is rotten but not all. Just wondering if someone around charlotte area would want some side work. The boat is a 19ft open bow.

i do it but dont have time right now. sorry. i can get you someone though.

I have the same problem too, what kind of wood should you use? Is there a specific time of wood?

Well I am not looking to do it right now but between now and next spring.

I know of a guy in Hickory, might be a bit of a haul for you though..

Davis Trim Shop. They put a new top on my dads older Sebring for about 1 grand, it was definetly a top not job.

They do regular upholstery work too.

Most boat seats are easy to take apart. DIY job if the vinyl and foam is good and just the wood is rotted. About a year before he passed away, my dad (77 at the time) and his south-of-the-border yardman replaced the wood in his seats...just pulled the staples, used bad wood as pattern for new marine-grade plywood, restapled with monel staples. It ain't rocket surgery.
