guy wants to trade me a 99 durango for my bronco. it has 157,000 miles on it. anybody know much about them? He also said that he lost the title and had to have a new printed? He's in SC.

I'd love to have mine back. Plenty of room inside for a midsize, gas mileage just as horrible as a fullsize bronco, ability to tow just about what I want to in a pinch, and I had the 4.7 so the 5.9 would tow alot better. I will say, the transmissions aren't the toughest, and the 3.9 V6 model is like driving a 4cyl toyota on 39's with three plug wires off. Either way, I want another '02 with the 4.7....

I've got a '99 5.9 4x4 that I use to tow my jeep. It does well and serves as a good pseudo camper for sleeping in at the campsite. The power is nice but gas mileage is not it's forte. If it's the 5.9L 360ci, I'd trade for it. How does it compare to your bronco? What year is your rig? Lets see some pics!

You can read more about the Durango of that year here --> http://www.allpar.com/model/durango.html

ok, i asked him to clarify what he meant. they lost title and had to file for a lost title. they have it in hand.
run. nuff said.

actually looks to be worth more than my bronco. it's a 96 with a 351. here's an old pic.

OJ!

THE JUICE!!

They are notorious for transmission issues.
There were some steering issues but there are upgrade parts for replacement so at that miles its probably resolved.

Like any dodge the interior will completely fall apart around it

Check the ball joints, they are bad to go out a bit earlier than normal also. I haven't had any tranny problems with mine.

4.7 = engine sludge = boom, happened twice to me with durangos I bought. It might have a 5.2, those are good motors though

it has the 5.2

MY 5.9 and 5.2 had plenum gasket problems, not a hard fix, but all in all my 4.7 served me better, had less problems (used good oil and changed it every 5k miles) and has been running around the Sahara Desert for almost a year now with no issues.

i found another 99 with the 5.9l, are they any good?
