Anybody got pics of how you tied in your roll cage to the frame ?

Here's mine.

Works well, but now that I'm wanting to ditch the body and go all tube it's gonna be a problem.

I used a YJ poly bushing setup. Basically, I had a plate on the bottom side of the body tied to the cage base plate. It had 2 tabs on it the width of the poly bushing. Then, had tube from the frame up to the plate with a poly bushing. Sorry, don't have pics.

I found this pic on the web, it's the rear mount on the fender.
This ties it in underneath the fender, with poly bushings.

These can be made with an old trackbar, although this one appears to be tubing.

I am planning on doing this & something like post #3 for the forward mounts.
I'll use body bushings for those connections.

thats very similar to what I was talking about.

pardon the noob question but...
what is the point of using a soft connection (bushing) to tie in a cage? isnt it supposed to be hardmounted to the frame? wouldnt a bushing crush under the load of a rollover and exert worse non-linear loads into the mount?

Makes it WAY easier to remove (paint/repair/change) and the bushing helps dampen any vibes (if you're worried about noise in a Jeep  )

i heard it makes it crawl way better and a heck of alot more power too

thanks for the pics and input fellas .

Also, the loads of a low speed rollover are not that huge, just a lot more than sheetmetal can stand. Bushings stand the forces in control arms, which are higher forces than most rollovers in our sport.

since the cage is bolted to the floor of the tub, it helps to dampen it much like a body mount so the floor plates on the cage don't tear the sheet metal of the body.

i dont have bushings in mine, the plates are different sizes though. The ones on the bottom are larger than the ones on the top. I havent roll tested mine yet so i guess my response is useless.
