Does anybody have sprint wireless? Just wondering what u think about it? Service?

My work phone a few years ago was Sprint, had to use my personal phone more often than not. This is around Smithfield to Goldsboro area.

Switched from Verizon to Sprint this summer. So far it's been just as good as Verizon locally (Johnston and Wake Co's) and worked as good between here and Myrtle Beach. The only place I have been that it hasn't worked is Uwharrie.

we have at&t now, service is ok most of the time, But damn it's getting expensive.

I used to have sprint wireless. Customer service sucked as did the service. Switch to US Cellular and now to Verizon.

Anything is better than Sprint IMO. I'll never have Sprint again unless I'm forced to.

we had verizon, and they are a rip off, atleast they used to be. But either way we will never be back.

Have verizon for work, Us cellular as personal phone. They give a few of us at work sprint phones to try out for awhile. They just didn't hit on much at least not around Sampson bladen or Duplin county.

I've had sprint for years. Service in NW-NC is average to below-average. I've stuck with them because of unlimited data.

Had it for 10yrs, sucked everywhere I went, been on a prepaid that uses Verizon towers for a little under a year, love it and the price is 1/3 of sprint.

We have Sprint.
It sux.
Customer service sux even more.

But we've been with them so long and our package is grandfathered ....... with 2 daughters on the account I would go broke with anyone else.

This is depressing. I once had sprint, it sucked so I went to Verizon, which is expensive. I have recently considered trying them out but I doubt I will. All these new commercials that claim "we aren't as good, but it's only 1%" doesn't reassure me either. That means of the million places my Verizon phone works now, I can expect to lose about 10,000 of them.

I had Sprint from 2002-early 2014. I switched to Verizon and will never go back. Sprint's service just wasn't as reliable as it used to be years ago when I first subscribed. My Verizon phone works in more places than Sprint or even my AT&T service for work (which I've had for 11 years now).

For years right here in Raleigh Sprint had multiple dead-spots on the I-440 beltline, which used to drive me nuts since it was one of the most heavily trafficked roads in town. Another dead spot near my house used to drop calls every time I was talking on the way home.

Good riddance.

Switched to Sprint from Verizon about 1 yr ago. Around Charlotte the service is close but Sprint's coverage is a bit worse. In non-populated areas Sprint is def worse. Still, it's 1/2 the price I was paying with Verizon so I'm happy enough.

Oddly enough Sprint had service in the US Virgin Islands. Verizon did not. Everywhere else I've been, Verizon is usually better (comparing my wife's Verizon work phone to mine).

I had Sprint for over 10 years, I kept dropping calls and their customer service was horrendous. Switched to Verizon 3 years ago, I drop calls in the same places but customer service isn't as bad.

Coverage is the only reason I still have Verizon. ATT workphone only gets decent service in 75% of the areas I go, whereas Verizon is 99%. But Verizon has too much bloatware on their phones and is more expensive, and since they are CDMA instead of GSM, I can't get some of the phones I'd like to get (Samsung S7 Active for example).

Had it for 10yrs, sucked everywhere I went, been on a prepaid that uses Verizon towers for a little under a year, love it and the price is 1/3 of sprint.
More info please.

I will never have Sprint based solely on my experience w/ their customer service and policies regarding locking phones, even when they are specifically designed by the MFR to be open to any carrier.
I bought a Samsung S7 from a guy who had it on Sprint, even though he paid off the phone and cancelled his account, when he sold it to me they refused to unlock it so I could use it on Verizon. I called no less than 4 times and every time it was damn near impossible to get somebody to even talk to me (as a non-customer) and when I did, every time their explanation was different. 2 people said it was cleared and unlocked, others said nope but not my problem. Finally I was forced to go a different route and have a 3rd party unlock it.
What I learned in the process is that none of their reps know anything about how the IMEI system actually works, nor do they care to. None of the local stores do anything the least bit technical. Basically if you need to do something the least bit tech savvy YOYO.
