just wanted to see if there was anyone else in here that fishes professionally in either the flw or ska pro tournaments

I wish I did, but Dave Wolak lives in Wake Forest and fishes the Bassmaster Elite Series. He's a Toyota sponsored Pro and come in the dealership here from time to time. He's a very nice guy and will BS with you for hours. I can probably get you his email if you have some questions. I fish whenever I can, which is not enough. I hate making boat payments every month for a shiny lawn ornament.

haha yeah i would rather make the payments on a bass boat then the payments my dad makes on our boat. we have used it for 2 seasons now and are getting ready to use it for our 3rd season in the flw and we are trying to sell it for $96,000. is the guy that you are talking about live way off of purnell in wake forest? actually got an flw tournament in sarasota, fl that i gotta fly down to this thursday

Good luck in sarasota, I hered the bait and the fish were hard to fined from a friend that down there now. I don't fish the pro's but I do fish alot of the ska tournaments in nc and sc.

yeah my dad left to tow the boat down sunday so hopefully he is looking for bait and fish right now so when i fly down thursday we know where to find the fish. first place and $100,000 would suit me just fine

I haven't really messed with or dealt with anything SKA related since I stopped working for Ken at the Donzi dealer. Been reconsidering getting back into though if I can talk myself into dealing with all the my boat wiener is bigger than yours crap

haha good one josh. well now the cool thing is to have a 38' donzi. cant wait until they start making ones that are over 40' and that you can actually pull down the road without getting pulled over by a cop.

whats the name of their boat?

They used to fish for Donzi as That's My Dog, but they're running Yellowfins now. Their new one isn't named yet, but the last one they had (that went back for a factory defect) had Team Furuno down the side of it.

I thought that was why when they released the 38 ft a couple years ago it was only 9 1/2 ft wide.

yeah that might be so but think about a boat that is 40' long or longer, they would have to make it wider than 9.5'

i know who you are talking about TheZenTree

From what I remember the 38 was 9.5 wide for trailer reasons, same width as a 32 and 35 and they were dropping the 32 since it was closer to 35 and thus it would become the 35ft series. As long as the transom will hold up unlike some of the issues we fought with over at corporate office to have repaired it may be a real good boat.
