Any body in the Hickory area have experience with the 4.0 into CJ swap? I'm going to do it, and I would love some help. I can figure out all the fuel routing, and the installing of the actual engine, but I'd love some help thinning both of the harnesses and wiring everything up. I'd be willing to furnish some brews, as long as you go buy em (I'm 17 and don't drink), or just give you some plain old cash if need be. PM me if your interested. I know this doesn't really belong here, but as I said, I'm 17 without a sponsor, so this is all I have. Now, if someone wants to sponsor me, thats cool too.

I have experience swapping the 4.0 head onto the 4.2, but I have not done an entire engine.
I know the wiring can be the toughest part. My suggestion would be to get the wiring diagram and start from there. Get it running correctly, then start to pare down unneeded wires in the harness.
As for the sponsorship thing, come to the Jeep expo at Wal mart next Saturday and introduce yourself. There will be a few members there, including myself.

I have actually planned on coming if I am off. Will it be just new Jeeps, or will the older crowd be around? Friend and I saw the pallets last night cruising, and we plan on coming and possibly bringing his 78 CJ7 if we can get a few things done before then. I might desire your help on a head swap too,as we plan on doing that on his 258.
