Just wondering if anybody has dealt with Parts Mike before?
Was it a good experience? Would you deal with them again or recommend?
I ordered some stuff (T-18 short-shaft trans. kit) about 12 years ago and never received all parts ordered. I was told they were back ordered and being sent but never received parts and no refund or contact back from them. I know, I should have followed up but busy time of my life and project on hold. (marriage and kid).
Well, here we are in 2014 and I'm trying to get back on the project(s) that have been sitting. I needed those parts. I ordered what I needed. Didn't even talk about the past, just ordered the parts I needed. ( Pilot bushing for t-18 and amc crank, syncro's, etc.). I also ordered a few extra parts that I wanted. (Clutch fork boot, trans mount, etc.) I ordered these parts on 3/7 (Friday) told they would ship Monday 3/10 from CA. Called back on 3/18 since their website didn't show any update since "received payment on 3/7. I was told the shipping guy was gone for the day. (4:30 PST) He would call me back in the morning. No call by lunch (their time) the next day. I called them back to be told they just received some of the parts and they would ship that day(3/19). I finally got the parts on 3/25 and it is missing the (2) clutch boots! I was shipped 3 day select. I paid $24.26 for shipping/handling. This was a box 6"x6"x4.5" and weighed 3-5lbs? It was (1) trans mount, (2) sycro rings, a spring and washer for shifter retainer, and (1) pilot bushing.
I'm calling them Monday 3/31 to see what they say. Just wondering if anybody has a good dealings with them. So far I don't think I will be dealing with them again. Just trying to give them a chance if other people have been happy with them. Let me know......
