Anybody run SSR's

You'll rip the sidewall out of them in . They do ride nice on the road, but the sidewall is paper thin. I didn't have the skinnys, just the 35x13.50 (maybe)x15s on my XJ. I didn't have them long, but long enough to rip 2 sidewalls in two trips.

I've owned a couple of sets of 35x12.50x15s. Lost one to a blowout, and one to a deep sidewall cut that didn't leak.

I figure they're a better than a BFG MT, but no comparison to a bias TSL or similar tire.

Decent off-road tire, fair street tire... you could do worse.

Thinking about new tires and like Pizza Cutters, has anybody run 35x10.50R15LT SSR swampers? If so how do you like them?

only set I know of was Stewart's...and after one trip with me to Uwharrie, running Iroks...he went back home and sold the basically brand new SSR's and bought some Iroks...

they just don't have the mud/clay performance of Iroks or TSLs...

Greg's right. I was not satisfied with the off-road capability. Mine did not clean as good as I would have liked in the mud, and were not as sticky as some others on the rocks. That being said, they were still WAY better than the MTRs that came on my jeep.
They are a good compromise tire for on/off road, but my jeep is for fun (about 3,000 miles per year) so I don't mind how fast the Iroks wear.

As was said the trxus MT (Not the sts) is a better tire than the ssr pretty much all around. They both wear out pretty quickly though.
