anybody runnin 4.7 gears in a single yota tcase?

i cant decide if i want to put 4.7 gears in my single tcase, or go with the double tcases. i cant afford doubles with one 4.7 right now. i think it would be cheaper to just put new gears in my tcase after the drive shafts and all i would need with two tcases. i dont know anyone with 4.7s in a single tcase, it sounds like a good idea to me since hi range is not affected. any comments/advice?

Yes it is cheaper than the duals, but you get FAR more selectability with the duals. Your high range still wouldnt be affected with them, and you would have the regular low and low low. I would honestly save up the money and go with the duals.

Then put a 4.7 in later ;)
 
ok, thanks. what about trail gear vs. marlin? i know marlin is prolly better, but again, im on a limited budget here.

slravene, what brand are your 4.7s?
 
Go with Marlin and you cant go wrong. PM UNBREAKABLE on here. He is a Marlin Crawler Dealer

Dual stock cases will take you lower and have more selectability than one 4.7 case.

Mine are marlin.
 
you have plenty of selectability with a single case as long as you aren't running a :gay: slushbox infront of it. Lots of extra work to do duals. I'd rather have a single 4.7.
 
I was running a twinsticked 4.7 case in my old yota. Loved it and never had any complaints about it.

I know the advantages of dual cases as well. Both are great options and it really just comes down to personal preference.
 
ok, thanks everyone. i think ima go with the 4.7s in a single case for now. like i said, i know marlin is prolly better, but i can get the trail gear kit on ebay for like $340 shipped and it said its got a lifetime warrenty. anybody run any trailgear stuff?

I dont run any trail-gear mechanical stuff (for specific reasons). I do however run their diff covers, knuckle gussets, etc. since they are more of a general, "across the board" similarity.
