Anyone buy any UHMW locally?

I have been lookinbg to buy some UHMW, but the shipping costs kill all the good online prices. Anyone on here ever bought any? I am thinking there are surely places around charlotte that have it. Looking for the black recycled, .5" thick. Thanks guys.

I bought a 12" long stick of 2" round UHMW black stock for almost nothing, maybe $5. Made a 1" body lift kit for about $12 total, lol.

They will make it for you and have it ready to pick up when you come by.
They'll also ship it - couldn't be more than about $5... you'd spend way more than that in gas driving down here.

If you can actually get sheets (not just 1" or 2" wide peices) UHMW (not HDPE, LLDPE, etc.) for that price... I'd buy a bunch and sell it... I thought sheets (24"x24"x.5") went for around 75.00 or so.. maybe more..

Thats about right. online it was 150 for 48"X48" x.5" for the black stuff then shipping is a bitch cause its in canada

It's just small (2" dia) tube that's that cheap. And I don't remember, it may have been as much as $10...

You can call Industrial Power in Fayetteville NC 1-910-483-4230 or Greensboro NC 1-336-315-5100. They sell UHMW in any size sheets or bars. it comes in green,black and white.
Also if anyone needs custom made DOT brake lines just send them your old ones and tell them what you need and they can make anything custom you want.
Their prices are right and fast service!!!
