What kinda fuel mileage are you getting?
Kevin,Blkvoodoo said:Big key to Toy power and mileage is breathing, get it in, get it out, getting it out seems to help the most. Stock exhaust manifolds are pretty restrictive, but the mufflers are even worse.
I gained 2mpg and stopped burning (as much) oil between changes by changing air filter brands, was using a Carquest (WIX) filter, very restrictive, dropped in Purolator (you will see the differance in media) stopped using oil till I get to about 3500miles ona 5k service schedule. ( the rings in this engine are pretty toasted, compression ain't the best, 168k, very poorly )
My '85 runs much better, but costs more in gas stock gears, 33" tires, header, and larger exhaust. about 15mpg steady better on the hiway
