I don't get it...Why are people not prepared when they come to the bank? And people expect that as they are walking in that when they step up to the counter, we have all of their info ready to go. They come in with no ID and say " lemme get $50 out my account" or they come in with no deposit slip when they want to make a deposit, So I have to go in a different system and look up their info and fill everything out for them...I know that it is my job, but it just goes to show how lazy people have gotten. If you see that I am busy doing something and I don't have a customer, please wait to be called upon. There is nothing more anoying than having someone come up when you are couting a large deposit that was dropped off and someone throwing something on the table for you to do. Just felt like I needed to rant and see if anyone else feels my pain...I know it is part of dealing with the public, but my god, people.....learn your account number..it is not my job to keep up with waht you spend and what checks you write...

rant off...... :) thank you

I can't remember the last time I dealt with a teller. Direct deposit and atm for me.

I'm so lazy I don't want to go to the bank and if I do I'm certainly not getting out of my car! It's too hot/cold/dry/humid/sunny/cloudy etc for me to be gettin out!!

lol!
You would be amazed at all the people who WILL NOT deal with an ATM or do direct deposit. there is a dentist who comes in every single day, even on his days off, just to get his balances....the dude will not sign up for online banking so that he can check his balances anyime he feels like it..

some pretty cool things coming. Automated Machines that read checks and deposit them into your account and give you a receipt with an image of the check already on it.. I think Bank Of america is already on this band wagon, but it is suppose to be killer, but of coarse you have those who are afraid of technology and will continue to hand deposit everything.

I use BofA. They seem to be leading the way with technology. Downloaded their ipad app last night. :)

Think of this as job security. Because if EVERYONE used online banking, you'd be out of a job. "Stupid keeps us employed." :D

I work for a bank, but my role is much different. I'm one of the guys behind the design of the online banking. I support the databases where all of your account information is stored. I laugh about the people who fear using the ATM and online sites. It's all stored on the same servers regardless of where you put your money in or take it out at. :)

So you don't like giving customer service, which is your job. Maybe you should find another one. I love my bank. Their customer service is excellent. I can never remember my account number and they are never upset to help out. Unfortunately they are closing my local branch and moving since they were bought out by another bank. I will hate to have to find another bank.

I work with the public too so I kinda feel your pain. I promise you that you don't have it as bad as others though. It's mind boggling how many people walk into a business for the sole purpose of messing with the guy behind the counter. People are complete assholes.

I used to deposit my paychecks into a BofA ATM about 4 years ago...they took a week to post to my account. Then one time I got a letter in the mail saying it would take 3 weeks to post. I went and talked to my local branch manager after a week and got it released but the damage was done. I changed banks right after that. Oh yeah, when I opened my account with a check they said they had to hold it so their system could learn my spending happens or some BS like that.

:fuck-you: Bank of Mexico

I knew this would happen..you can't remember your account number? Its your account number.. and yeah, they don't mind helping you out, just as I don't appear to mind to help someone out who can't remember there account number...Now if you are not a frequent bank visitor, then you deserve some slack, but the people who come in the bank 3 times a week...there is no excuse...I Do like customer service. I do like my job and the people I work with. I am good with customers, but I am simply talking about the people who expect you to do there personal finances for them...don't buy checks and come into the bank to get counter checks to use, can't do simple math, complain that someone has been stealing money from them because they over drafted and what a print out of their account everyday of the week. I don't fuss about it to them. I smile and do what I have to do, I am simply letting out some steam. It's like now, whenever I go ANYWHERE that has a line, I ALWAYS wait to be called upon now....because I know how it is.

I'm sorry.

Actually I couldn't tell you the last time I set foot in a bank. It has been years. Direct deposit and online is how I handle everything. I'm just glad I never have to wait in line to deposit my paycheck!!

I am one of those people you speak of. The reason I don't memorize my account number: you can look it up for me :) . But I'm out for everything else, I wait my turn and do most everything online minus deposit money.
