Operations Director

Charlotte Offroad

January 2011 – Present (1 year 11 months) Charlotte, North Carolina Area
Charlotte Offroad was founded to give offroading enthusiast a place to come and share upcoming events, group trail rides and general offroading discussion. Our goal is to become the largest network of offroading enthusiast in and around the Queen City. With a marketing strategy heavily invested in social media interaction and local business involvement, Charlotte Offroad has seen its social and local influence grow at an exponential rate. See the figures below for reference:

• 150+ Active Local Members
• CLT Offroad Facebook Fan Page has grown to "320 Likes" in its first 10 months
• CLT Offroad Group Page has grown to 117 Active group members and has seen positive growth for 10 consecutive months
• Facebook Fan Interaction is up 1,500% and is steadily increasing.
• Facebook Post have been viewed 5,877 times and shown an increase of 324% over the last 10 months.
• CLT Offroad Twitter Page has seen 10 consecutive months of follower growth.

We collaborated with several local / regional shops and vendors to create an official Charlotte Offroad Club shirt. Participating shops and vendors included:

• Carolina Truggies
• Fab Fours
• East Coast Gear Supply
• Rowells Truck Accessories
• NC4X4
• Stateline Chrysler - Jeep - Dodge
• Ella's Celestial Cakes
• USNWC-OHV

Our approach to offroading is unique and our goals for the group are huge. We have several projects we plan to unveil throughout the coming years to continue our growth including the recently launched www.CharlotteOffroad.com website. Our website has already garnered attention from NC4X4 and in its first two weeks is averaging 1,000+ pageviews per week

Our group was founded on the premise that regardless of what you’re driving or riding, we all love hitting the trails and this is the place to share that enthusiasm.

I looked at their Facebook page and I went to their website. Several discussions of prototype vehicles and such but nothing about any members, real rigs or wheeling. Looks like all they do is sell club t-shirts. Seems odd.

Seems like if they really have 150+ active members they would be well known and have their own active forum. The craigslist ad for selling t shirts is pretty sketch too.

I think they're sorta like what happened to the appalachian coal rollers, so you want to be a member, just like our facebook page, buy a tee shirt with sticker and we'll call you a member....at least thats my opinion anyways

I haven't seen any rocks tagged with their logo. Can't be to bad..

They're just a small group of guys in Charlotte that take trips out to URE every now and again. It's not a formal group of hardcore enthusiasts, just weekend warriors, nothing crazy or as solid as BDB or CORE

Trevoringle you hit the nail on the head
Yeah its not to hard to figure out when they send you links to join them on facebook and sell tee shirts to whoever wants them on craigslist haha....im not part of a club right now, but one like this isnt one id be looking to join
