Anyone ever heard of the rear springs being rusted into the lower spring perches?

The rear bumpstops are also rusted into place.

Anyone else ever run into this problem?

Are the rear springs the longer, or shorter ones?
If you find you need to just replace 'em, I have 2 of the longer ones if that will help. Yours for a handshake and a smile.

i just find it hard to believe that they are THAT rusted together, and no, i've never heard of that

have you tried a BFH?

Yeah, it is hard to believe. I work on 35+ year old vehicles all of the time and I've never seen anything as rusted as this jeep. And if it is close, it just rusts through. This thing was no doubt parked in the ocean at some point. Anyway, the bolts holding his rear bump cups are likely going to have to be twisted off/cut off and drilled out.

nope, I bought it well before Katrina.

It used to be a WOMAN jeep, a woman who lived at the beach.

IE she knew nothing of taking care of it, and never washed it after bombing around the dunes.

Took it up to mintons tonight.

Almost rolled it over when Death wobble took me off the road. Went off the side and almost over an embankment.

It wasnt this bad before we worked on it, no idea whats causing it now.

i figure its probably alignment issues.

Unfortunately, Mintons doesn't do alignment, so I gotta get it to a place that does
