Ha, at first I thought the titled said "wood pallets for a fence", which got me thinkin'.... hey why not?
except they'd be pretty short lol

Actually just got off the phone with a sawmill near Charlotte. Might do it out of white oak if the price is right. Found another mill in southern nc that has a bunch of cedar logs on hand and can match lowes/hd treated price.

I think there are some county's in this state that pallets are acceptable.

Same boat...I'm looking for about 1000' in 6-8' panels.

Smith Phillips in Winston/statesville carry #1 4x4s and 2x4s. Cost a little more than the garbage "#2" that lowes and Home Depot sell but it's worth it not having a post or rail bow 6" after a few months.
 
Did some google earth exploring. There must be close to 200 pallets in that fence. Then there's some other masterpiece in the back of the field with red and white flags all over the place.
