I have a YJ here on my lot that I am pretty sure has a dying/dead ECM. We ran every check we could on it, not getting fuel or spark. Then magically it fired up one day, drove it around a bit with no problem, parked it and walked in the shop, came back and hasn't started again since. The only thing we haven't been able to verify with a known functional part is the ECM.

I looked on eBay and everywhere, can't find one for a manual 4.0L 95. Anyone have one for sale, or even just throw in it real quick to see if that is the problem?

What are the numbers on the ECM? I have an ECM form a 95 xj manual idk if it works or not. The jeep started having electrical issues. Not sure if it would work for you.

Yeah, I found a few places that did the repair and return, but I really wish I could find a known good one locally for cheaper.
No doubt. One reason I kept this ECM around is because the manual ECM seem to be getting harder and harder to find. I might could test it in my 94 xj. Like I said IDK if it would work for you or not.

I'm not sure if that would work, but I'm not sure why it wouldn't. The ECM and wiring in a 95 YJ is basically the same as a 95 XJ. Let me see if anyone here has an 836, just to be sure, but I might take you up on your offer if I can't dig one up.

Have you considered replacing the capicaters in the computer? I know in a 4cyl computer there are 3 capacitors in it. It cost me under $10 to replace the capicaters including a tube of silicone. Fixed mine and took about 30 min
