Had some rotten soffit replaced at the house, which lead to the discovery that the flat roof portion of the house was leaking which rotted the roof deck.
So I had to replace the flat roof. It had old EPDM on it, replaced with TPO. Roofers came out today and the job looks a little questionable to me. I have no experience with roofing so I have no clue if this is normal or just a poor job.
I've attached a few pics. In many place the roof overlaps the roof flashing, and is really poorly cut. Definitely noticeable from the ground. Is that right? Can I cut that flush myself, or should it be left alone?
There are quite a few air bubbles in it to. I wouldn't call them wrinkles, which I understand are standard for a flat roof depending on temperature, but these seem quite large. One picture shows the corner where it's all messed up. I've read this can sometimes mean the installer didn't allow the adhesive to "flash"? Is this okay?
Final thing, I can't tell exactly how the flashing was installed. It appears it may have just been glued down. I can't feel and mechanical fasteners under the roof and there's nothing under the edge of the roof either.
I understand it's a roof and it doesn't have to be perfect, but it just looks a bit sloppy to me. Any thoughts or advice?
