Planning to go across the pond in mid may or so, (time wife and I can both get off of work) and do the touristy thing.
I have some ideas of stuff to do from friends over there.
Planning on hitting Glasgow, then renting a car and driving around. Heading up north, going to actually MAKE it to the Oban distillery this time. (I've been there a few times for work)
Planning to rent/borrow fly rods etc, and fish for 2 or 3 days over there.

Wife hates golf, so that's out. Anyone got any suggestions, or places you have to go to?
I did a lot around glasgow, but was working a lot so my travel was limited.

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

I went to Edinburgh and Loch Ness a couple summers ago. They were both pretty cool. We rode the train up from London and then took a bus from Edinburgh to Loch Ness. That was some of the most amazing scenery I have ever seen. If you go to Edinburgh check out the castle.

might be too far south, but i've always wanted to see hadrians wall.

Been there several times. Head up to Glen Coe up in the Highlands. That's the picturesque Highlands that you see in the movies, and it looks just like the movies. Then you're not but a short drive from Loch Ness.

I'm jealous, I love Scotland!

SAme here! Great places to site see. I rode a double decker bus around the city will you get a guide telling you the history of the city. Pretty amazing stuff happened there.

Definately check out the castle! It sits atop a huge hill overlooking the city below. New years they had a fireworks show that put Australia to shame, I think it was on TV actually when I was there.

...Take lots of pictures - see if there are any nice 4x4 rigs out there too i didnt see one!

I've been all over scottland and my favorite will always be the highlands. Lots of OHV places to go wheeling in a defender or you can rent one and go to the outer hebridies (hope is spelled that right)
Hadrians wall is cool and if you fly into glasgow it is a short trip from there.
