Hasn't been verified yet, but they suspect I tore the UCL in my right arm. I partially tore it playing ball in college and they think it might have finally given up completely. I have an MRI today for confirmation.

Has anyone ever had the surgery and have any ideas of recovery period? My daily driver (well, not daily as I work from home now) is a manual trans diesel F250 that I currently can't drive because of the pain.

I am wondering what to do and how long it'll take me until I can drive my truck again. I have a little S10 Blazer that is auto that I have been driving but really miss my truck even though it has only been two weeks. My 98 TA and my 60 Catalina are also manual so this is really shitty right now.

I have no idea what the UCL is; however, I tore my bicep tendon, is that close?

Ouch, had a friend who did that.

It's a little different. UCL kind of keeps your elbow stabilized. It's the tendon that they repair in Tommy John surgery if you've ever heard of that.

If I don't keep my arm mostly straight it hurts like a motherfucker. Can't sleep, either my brace bothers me or if I sleep without it I wake up in pain every time I bend it. Such a bitch.

I had a rotator cuff repair and a bicep tendon reattached.

That shoulder was down for 6-8 weeks before I could really do anything with it although I was driving at 4 weeks. That was my left arm though, if it was my right, I would have been driving more like 8 weeks.

Had that done twice. It's messed up again, not in a hurry to get it done again, have that side be useless for the better part of a year only to go bad again. Just living with it.
