Hey guys (& gals)...

A good friend (& fellow off-roader) from South Florida just contacted me about the weather out west...

His 92 y.o. father-in-law is in Hendersonville and he's getting nervous about the weather. We were forecasted a few inches last night and got none in RDU. Yesterday's forecast for winter storms Friday night have been downgraded to rain for us.

He's obviously concerned and wondering if he should head this way w/ space heaters and a generator. Any local 411 on what's happening in that area would be greatly appreciated....

Thank you 92 for putting this up for me. And thank you guys for your replies. I don't think I will be coming up this weekend, as according to the reports we are getting down here, the storm is going thru quickly. I may ask for help from a Jeeper to possibly check in on him, if anything at all. Thanks again.

We have about 14" of snow right now, if you need somebody to check on him I would be more than happy to, let me know
 
Thanks to all!! Alan (runinbare) is good people. I'm trying to convince him to come meet us up in UNF this spring...and assured him the quality people in this forum would step up. Thanks for not letting me down...you guys rock...
