Or anyone in particular who knows about the Hell Hole Wilderness in Francis Marion National Park?

Im thinking about taking a backpacking trip through that area when Christmas Break hits. Wondering what Its like. I understand its swampy and camping sites will be hard to come by (I'll have my Hammock just in case) but I figure with that area..winter time is the best to see it without bugs everywhere!

or you can wait til may when they have the hell hole swamp festival. they have a 10k run where most of it is on a dirt road, you can show of your whiskey still, and compete in a tobacco spitting contest
