I seem unable to find any info on a older bandsaw I got. I need a blade for it. it is a 1987 pro-tech band saw. says pt-3201 and the serial number on it is 092784. grainger and northern said they could not help me.

how long is the blade ? ( pick a point and measure it's total circumference if it is still in a band, or cut it and measure the totaal length, need to know how wide the blade is also, and threads per inch. )

I have gotten a few at HOme Depot that fit my HF band saw ( 64 1/2 X something ) have also ordered off the web, I'll see if I can find the site again

And some industrail supply houses can make a blade for you as well

WT Tool has about everything, and a pretty decent website. As stated, you'll need to know the length, width, and the teeth per inch.

Just measure your current blade and order a custom cut one from these guys. I've bought from them several times and I've always been happy with their blades. If you don't have the original blade just run a string around the wheels to get the length. They have a lot of good info on that site about how to choose which blade to buy for your application.

I order mine though the welding shop. 64.5" x 1/2" (HF band saw) They basically order me exactly what I want. I'm currently running Lenox DieMaster II 14/16 variable pitch (I may have switched to the 16/18 with the last batch) Last time they were ~$15-$20 each min order is 3. But I'm over 8months now on 1 blade..

Voodoo did you wreck that one you got from me?

Um, yup, sure did, actually wore the teeth off it before it snapped, probably 3 years ago or so.

I just picked up 2 today from Howe Distributing in Gastonia. The prices were better than WT Tool too.
