It rained A LOT! Maybe 6 inches or more here at Lake Tillary. The road into our development flooded.

x2 !!!

The state or county guys put High Water signs out on the creek below my cabin at Uwharrie. I road down there last night to check on things and the water was barely washing over the road. The creek had to rise 5'-6' to reach the road though.

Dude, could you imagine going up some of those hills and banked turns if they were muddy?? Yeah the dust bowl sucks too, but I'll take it over the mud any day.

Just a comment, I was there on Sunday and it wasn't muddy at all. I guess everyone thought it would be a mess, cause there was NOOOOOOBODY out there. HA, better day for me.

*ONLY* about 3" of steady rain Friday thru Sunday AM before the sun came out... a bit "damp"...

Dave, those pics are clearly old. Right now Dutch John is about 10' deep! They dragged a blade thru, but it will get bumpy again.
The dustbowl at Uwharrie sucks. Even when it rains, it dries pretty quickly, I guess the clay doenst absorb much water. It should be getting good now with this monsoon weather we're having :p
