If you plan to beat on it you need some rim stiffners on those wheels. I like the rebar best.

thanks guys...

not to get into a "tech" subject but what do you mean by i should stiffen the rims?

i wasnt a fan of the yellow either but i couldnt pass it up.

this is my first venture into the one ton world... so far im in love :bounce2:

Looks like a rig you can have a lot of fun with.
Rim stiffeners do exactly what they say. low air pressure and bouncing on rocks tend to bend wheels. A metal ring like a beadlock ring, but thinner, or as Shawn mentioned the rebar welded to the ring makes it stronger and less prone to bending.

The color is fine, no matter where you go except for a few months during the year, it's get muddy anyway so color don't matter much. I like it just fine. Check out upcoming events section and come out and play

ah im with you, i was confused about how the rebar came into play. are h1 wheels prone to bending over regular steelies? copperhead fab sells the h1 rings so thatll prolly be the direction i go... like i said this is my first rig with tons/h1 wheels/etc so im learning as i go...

I bent one in KY this summer. Anyone got a picture of the rebar welded on? I'm a cheap bastard!

Why rebar and not just round rod of the same diameter. Re-bar is irregular rough textured and hard to shape consistently. Re-bar has avery high recycle content "junk" alloy that doesn't weld very well. Re-bar in almost all construction except very large diameter speacial order alloys is prohibitted for this reason.
