Flame me if you must, but my 05 2wd Silverado is lowered 4 inches in the rear. I was thing of buying a set of 150psi air shocks for the rear to raise it back up and tow a trailered XJ with them. The air shocks are a little over half what helper bags would run me.

I know lowered trucks isn't ya'lls thing, but I like a street vehicle to be just that, street. Any suggestions?

"Buy a tow rig" is not an option at the moment. I just bought the XJ, and although its street legal, it sucks the gas.

I won't use air shocks but air bags. For towing, that is a lot of extra load to put on the shock mounts.

That's a good point on the shock mounts, not to mention the shock mount extension I had to put on one of them to correct the angle after lowering it.

87xj, you got all the hardware with those bags?

The only vehicle I ever drove that had air shocks, rode like shit. I'd get some bags

depends i on how u want to hook them up if u just want to use a shrader valve then yes i dont have and compressors fr them as far as the mounts no i dont but u can build ur own not that hard to do i do have all the fittings and air line i use to install bags on mini trucks
