Anyone Use OfferUp?

I've had pretty good luck with it. Really depends on what you are selling. I don't have FB either. I've used it for about 4 or 5 years now, always will get people low balling you, all my sales and purchases have been good. I won't list anything under $40 or $50 typically because it isn't work my time. But people have been good about meeting somewhere convenient. Plus you can see the rating of the person you are dealing with which I like. Seems like there is more of the everyday items on it not too much specialized, Clothes, furniture, homeowner tools and lawn equipment etc.

Never had much luck buying or selling on OU.BUT it seems to be a regional thing,Some area's have better stuff for sale than others.around here it sucks!!!

I dare say OfferUp is worse than FB.....the buyers and sellers leave a lot to be desired. I have used it a few times, but most of the time I never hear back (from seller or buyer).

OU is also slam packed with scams and duplicate ads. I have made some good purchases, and sold a few things here and there. I will only use it now as a last resort for something that isn't moving on CL or FB.

I hate to say it, but FB marketplace has really taken over the market on this stuff. Its the only reason to bother having a FB account.

I don't know if something changed recently with the marketplace settings or what, but I used to buy a considerable amount of stuff from there...vehicles to dining room chairs and everything in between. Over the last month or two I type what I'm looking for in to the search, there might be two results that are hits...and then 20 that aren't even related to what I'm searching for. Then the 'we found similar outside your search radius', and it's like a still in the package ninja turtle from 1988, even though I was looking for 60-70's truck parts.

That being said...if you're looking to sell a vehicle, Bring a Trailer seems to be the hottest ticket these days. I still think with some of the prices on BaT, there has to be some kind phishing or shill bidding going on.

I use OfferUp, it’s decent. I’ve sold some stuff and bought stuff, the transactions I’ve had have all been good. The thing that pisses me off most are the “is this still available” generated replies to the ad and when I answer that it is, I get nothing back. Second worse thing is the scam ads, dear lord every other ad is some fake scam and obvious

I bought a vehicle once using Offer Up. At the time, I was looking for a cheap 4x4 for my son. CL and FB had really nothing that was A) decent and B) cheap.
Found a S10 Blazer finally that fit both criteria.

Haven't really used it since simply due to the constant bombardment of notifications from Offer Up. I deleted the app to stop them and only install it when I want to look for something. FB turned out to be the winner for me in the Class C search. Offer Up only had scams or people really proud of their Junk. FB had plenty of scams but also had what I wanted. CL just had a bunch of ads and shit with nothing even close to my requirements. Although CL did have the WJ that I found for my son after the 4.3L in the S10 ate a cam (we got 2 years out of is so it was OK).

I guess what I'm saying is use them all to buy, selling, I have had the better luck on FB lately.
