Anyone Using Google SketchUp?

I download Google SketchUp 8 but it won't run on my laptop with Windows Vista. I can open the program, but when I click on the line or rectangle tool, the entire workspace goes white and at the top of the program window it says "SketchUp (Not Responding). Anyone else experience similar issues? I tried removing the software and re-installing it with no luck.

I'm still using 6 because version 7 dropped the ability to import dwg files... so, can't really offer up much help. I'd guess there's a sketchup forum somewhere, that might be a place to look?
