4 years ago we went to the keys for a family vacation. The house we rented was over run with iguanas.
Dude who owned the place encouraged my kids to catch them. They caught 2.
But like happens with these things they are now not interested in them anymore.
We built them a natural habitat by gutting and old armoir. ..cutting out the doors centers and installing chicken wire frames. This thing is huge. Like 7' tall by 3' wide huge. Can go with them if you want.
I'll include the heaters, uva and uvb bulbs and fixtures and auto timers.
All in probably $250 plus the armoir in supplies.
I just want a new home for them. They are pretty low maintenance. Chop up a fruit and veggie salad once a week and fill their water bowls up. Then they are good for another week.
At one point my kids had them tamed. They'd sit on your shoulder while you walk around. They've been ignored a few months so they are skittish but they'll come around quick with attention.
If your interested let me know . No rush but would love to find them a new home. They wont/can't bite but they gave sharp claws so ca scratch a bit if they get scared. Not going to draw blood or anything
